This week in tech we all presented our group research presentations.
I really enjoyed seeing everyones presentations and especially how each presentation was only 3-5 minutes. This way, it felt like an elevator pitch, so we could see just a glimpse into everyones presentations.
Everyones presentations went very well including my own. It felt like some of us picked very similar topics, but we managed to make something slightly different about them.
My favourite presentation that I watched was the presentation on gamified learning. It was very different from all of the other topics, and it is something I am personally very interested in. They talked about the positives and negatives of gamified learning, and the effect it has on students. I especially liked how they acknowledged that not all students are motivated by gamified learning. In fact, competition can cause a lot of anxiety among some students, so it is important to consider them as well.
Overall, it was a really great class and I am glad I was able to see a small glimpse into everyones projects.
