I wanted to create a page for my experience in the Elementary Education program. As I created this page, I realized I have little to no pictures from last semester from most of my classes. Luckily, drama was usually the class where we had the opportunity to snap a few pictures, whether we were goofing around in scary-looking masks or playing with puppets in the mirror.
Drama was easily my favourite class last semester. I realize now that if we didn’t have drama as one of our first semester classes, I don’t think our cohort would be as close as we are now. Drama class provided us with a space to truly be ourselves, let loose, and act like little kids again.
Our professor Phil Duchene was the most lovely human, and I am so grateful I had the opportunity to be a student in one of his classes. I will definitely bring all of the amazing strategies, games, and lessons that he taught us into my future classroom.
